PCS SMS Gateway is a proprietary solution that facilitates the quick, secure and guaranteed delivery of SMS messages from applications to GSM Operators and provides the possibility to edit and handle great volumes of SMS messages.

PCS SMS / Email Gateway platform has been implemented by PCS for various Banking organization that need to communicate information to their customers via SMS short text messages, either for informational / marketing purposes or as a result of Help Desk Operations or Financial Transactions. The platform ensures the management and secure delivery of SMS messages (and email) that originate from PCS's own software or other Banking systems to customer mobile phones. The Bulk SMS service is implemented to work with the Wind Hellas Mobile Operator in Greece, where PCS has implemented the necessary technology for interfacing PCS own software, as well as, other Banking systems with the Operator's Bulk SMS Service.

The PCS SMS Gateway platform provides full audit-trail and logging of the exchanged messages with various fail-proof mechanisms such as, receiving real-time feedback from the Mobile Operator when the SMS message is actually delivered to the customer's mobile phone, re-transmission of failed SMS messages etc.

The solution includes a dedicated database for the persistence of the messages and the audit-trail / logging data. The Application provides an Administration Module for setting application global parameters, for setting customer's specific requirements (e.g. SMS Silence period) and for viewing statistics, delivery reports etc. Through the Admin Module ad-hoc messages may be manually sent to a recipient, or a group of recipients. The platform includes a fully-fledged technology API / adapters for integrating the PCS SMS Gateway to other SMS originating systems such as

- A set of HTTP URLs

- A set of SOAP Web Service
- An Oracle RDBMS Stored Procedure
- Through the Loading of a specially designed Text File (bulk transmition).
